Anslow Event 28th May
Another great day out at Anslow for Midlands Carriagedriving Sunday 28 May saw another great day out at Midlands Carriagedriving’s One-Day Event, held at Anslow in South Derbyshire. Organised by chairman Paul Hart, ably assisted by his wife Ann and umpteen volunteers, Anslow’s ODE’s are proving inclusive and ideal for all aspects of driving trials. From the smallest equine to big horses and encompassing both abled and disabled humans, these events provide competition status without pressure and the opportunity to train as well as compete. Joanne Gadsby (Novice Horse) and Lucy Lee – driving the diminutive 17-year-old Maverick in Short Format Pony – were the only ones to achieve a double clear in cones while Mark Riley (Open Horse) produced a lovely dressage test for 45.62 penalties, best of the day.
